I have worn the New Balance 608 shoes for a long time. Can not tell you exactly how many pairs that I have been thru in the past. A few years ago, I bought my husband a pari or 608\'s in the brown suade for men, and later got another brown pair and a black pair. He has worn many different types of shoes and felt those were about the most comfortable he had ever had of any type of shoe.
Recently, I found out that someone had decided to \"upgrade\" the 608 to the 608V2 and, I beleive the 822. My husband has tried on the \"new upgrade\" 608V2 and says it does not come close to his original 608\'s, and would not purchase the shoes. I have tried on the 608V2 and 822 for women, and neither have the support nor comfort that the other shoe has. I would not purchase either. Found a 608, and got one last pair. I was encouraged that you have come back with the 801\'s as the \"upgrade 802\", nor other types of clogs came close to the comfort and support of the 801\'s. I have been thru 2 pairs of the 801\'s. Hopefully, someone will have the insight to re-evaluate your decision to delete the 608\'s, bring them back, and delete your newer design. There is no compareson. Newer is NOT always better. Could not delete the 5 star as this is not a good shoe.
