I bought these shoes because of a certified gym trainer's recommendation I saw in a fitness magazine article. I wanted a multi purpose cross trainer for the gym classes I take like Zumba, step and kick boxing plus also something I can wear back into the main gym when I walk on the treadmill, ride the bike, use the elliptical, row and use the various weight training machines and weights. It was a bonus that it comes in 2A because it is a challenge to find athletic shoes that fit my narrow feet; these are really the first gym shoes I've ever owned that really do (yipee)! Well, so far I am very pleased with the New Balance 1010's as there is webbing on the top for structured support and a wrap around lace system that stabilizes my foot. They are great for the dancing, balancing, plyometrics and lunges I do in the various classes. They are stylish (The Zumba instructor and a member last night remarked about how cute they are); the mesh allows my foot to breathe as I exercise; and I also like the light weight. Right now they are still a bit stiff around the ankle but the rest of the shoe is very comfortable. I anticipate the ankle section will soften up with further wear. I will buy another pair when these wear out.

Newbalance was recommended by my doctor.I have problems with my feet and he suggested this brand.They are comfortable and I really like them.
