NB such good products that it is always my first shoe of choice for walking, running--and the office. I've several Aravons for that purpose. I've owned this particular shoe in several of its numeric incarnations and they're all still "working." The 966 is even better than the 965, if that's possible. Always meant to write NB about the 965 because I walked all the way home in them from Manhattan to Queens during the 2003 power failure that gripped half the country one August day that summer. Took me about 4-1/2 to 5 hours in sweltering NY heat. Though my feet didn't hurt during the walk home, I thought I'd probably pay the next day. Not at all! Felt no after-effects, and I'm sure if I hadn't been wearing the 965, I WOULD have! And I've no doubt the 966s would render the same result. They've been wonderful so far for considerable walking on NYC pavement. I think the first reviewer, judging by her favorable comments, made an error choosing one star for her review. The shoe deserves all five stars! Thanks NB for continuing to make the best shoes on the planet for the human foot. Now...make some calf-high, warm/waterproof winter boots, okay? :)

I love these shoes! I had been smitten with the 956s so when the new model came I was thrilled. This shoe has that much more stability and also has a nice roll for walking. I walk on alot of difffent surfaces, and also alot of different terrains. This shoe just accomodates me no matter. I had ankle fusion surgery a few years back and finding a shoe that keeps me stable on uneven paths has been great! I also wear this shoe to work all the time and its just great. I have several pairs and alternate. Thanks for offering this shoe!
