This model replaces the 626 and 627, both of which I loved. I wore an 8D. This shoe is narrower and shorter and the shape of the sole has changed. Now I\'m in an 8.5D and find the width, which doesn\'t go any wider, almost too narrow. I\'m very disappointed in this shoe, but its the only one with dark brown nubuck and so I bought them. They are not as comfortable as the previous two models, but I\'ve not found anything yet to replace them with. The 901 looks promising, but it\'s leather and I find that NB leather creaks a lot -- drives me nuts!

Classic style here. Comfort is incredible. Would be hot in summer, so this will be my winter shoe.
