I have always loved New Balance shoes for their outstanding quality (the most comfortable, durable shoes I've ever owned and will never go back to another brand), and for what the company stands for (Made in the U.S.A.). I was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year at the age of 30, so when I found out that New Balance partners with the Susan G. Komen for the Cure and makes these awesome shoes that you can personalize, I was extatic. Some may say the price is on the high side, but I know from prior experience with NB, you are getting MORE than your money's worth because of the quality..NB shoes last for YEARS...these are not shoes that fall apart. Plus, the fact that NB donates 15% of wholesale sales from their Lace Up for the Cure collection with a guaranteed minimum donation of $500,000 up to a maximum of $1 million to Komen for the Cure, well - it doesn't get much better than that! My new, personalized WR993KMC shoes arrived via UPS yesterday (very fast shipping might I add - it only took three days!), and the shoes are just georgeous. I tried them on and walked around for a bit, and it felt like my feet were inside a dream. I'm so in love with them that I'm scared to go out and get them dirty or stinky...lol. But I know they can't stay new forever. ;) I highly recommend these shoes to anyone who is touched by breast cancer in their lives, or who wants to support a good cause. I work for a company with concrete floors, full time for a living. I have always purchased every day shoes for work. But the last pair I had weren\'t cutting it. My feet hurt so bad I could barely walk after a days work. So I went in to the New Balance store at the mall in Alderwood. The representative was so friendly and helpful. He knew what he was doing. Anyways, after sizing my feet he told me I had fallen arches. I had no idea. So on his recommendation, I tried on this shoe, it was so comfortable I couldn\'t believe it. There is so much support for my feet already but he recommended an insole to add aditional arch support. My feet still hurt a little after a good 6 or 7 hours but not like they did before. It\'s only my heels. So I think I will get a more specialized in sole next time. But the shoe is great. I even noticed it helps with my posture. I would definatlely recommend this shoe for the hard working person. Only thing...as with any shoe...they take a few days to break in but after that time I noticed a great improvement =)
