I just started running in May. Started running about 4-6 days a week to lose weight (I got up to 20-30 miles/week). I have fairly small, very flat feet, so I bought these in 7.5 wide (LOVE that NB has wide sizes). I loved these at first, but after about two months, my feet were killing me, I had blisters on my toes, and I had awful shin splints. I couldn\'t return them, so I ended up purchasing the 850\'s, and they\'ve been amazing. I don\'t know what happened with my feet and the 769\'s. I tried them out again today b/c my 850\'s were soaked in the rain, and it reaffirmed for me that they don\'t have enough cushioning for my feet. If these don\'t work for you, try the 850\'s. They\'re a little more expensive, but worth it.
