I purchased these shoes because i have severe overpronation which was greatly improved with wearing them BUT the purple faded on my shoe strings and white socks after wearing only a short while. Cleaning them with a soft brush and soapy water also faded on the white mesh of shoe. Because of this I would not recommend buying these shoes if u want a nice looking shoe.....now my shoes are faded purple and look disgusting.

These shoes are a LIFESAVER! I have arthritis in my feet, and ankles, and have a chronic tendon problem in my ankle. These shoes are the only shoes that allow me to do my daily activities without being in horrible pain! They are seep enough to hold my prescribed orthotics, and I can see a huge difference when I wear them vs when I don't wear them! My foot pain actually IMPROVES when I am wearing these shoes! I work in a school, and walk all day, stand, and climb steps. Without these shoes, I'm in agony! They only thing I can complain about, is they are not the most beautiful shoe in the world! I get sneered at by my students at work once in a while, and they ask me why I'm wearing platform sneakers...lol... I guess the construction of this shoe is what's making it so comfortable for my lousy feet, so I live with the fact that they are not so pretty! I'd rather not be in excruciationg pain! I am on my 4th pair of these shoes! I do wish New Balance would come in more colors...maybe a neutral like black and white instead of the raspberry or blue like I've had in the past. It would even be great if they came in a all brown or black!
