I don\'t know if this pair was defective or I that it was slighty too long of a fit(maybe 3/8 of an inch), but after about a week of walking almost every day about 3 miles per day I developed a blister on my left foot on the joint of my big toe. I have 2 other pairs of NB running shoes and they never gave me this problem, in fact I never had this problem with any pair of shoes I\'ve owned, so of course I got a refund. Despite this paticular pair, I still want to go with NB because I think they are very durable and comfortable to me, and I might try an 11.5 of this pair in the future instead of a 12 maybe that will make a difference or maybe that pair was defective. If I were you I and you are planning to buy a pair of NB I would buy it online because they give you 30 days to return/exchange the pair, had I bought these at a retail store I may not even had the option to make an exchange, of course you might pay a little more at a store, but for this paticular experience it took me a week and about 18 miles to discover this. I loved the style of the shoe though and wish I could have kept this pair, I think they are also lightweight. I didn\'t feel the arch support that I was expecting on this pair however, again that might be a defective pair or in this paticular model it might be how this shoe is engineered, and also it made a \"clopping\" noise as I took strides as I was walking, that to me was a little annoying. NB paid to have it shipped back and 4or 5 days later they sent me an e-mail saying they recieved the pair and were going to put this back on my debit card. I am pleased with NB\'s policies and customer service.....again I just wish this pair would have worked out, loved the style.
