I bought these shoes about 6 months ago. This is the first pair of NB I have owned. I have heard so many great things about them and thought I would give them a try. I did a lot of research and found that the 609 would be a good match since I like to hike from time to time. The shoes are great! they are very copmfortable and breathe very well. They also grip very well. Overall I am happy with them, but I am concerned about the construction. The souls on both shoes are coming apart in a few places. It looks like the glue is either defective or was just not applied very well in a few places. I usually get about 5 years out of my usual brand. The only reason I switched was because I couldn\'t find the shoe I wanted and heard good things about NB.

I bought these for my husband because they were so much cheaper that other competitor brands. He loves them. He works out everyday and tells me how comfortable they are, let alone stylish. I will never buy him another brand again!
