This is a great shoe. I\'ve been in a neutral cushion shoe for a while now, and gone through 2 pairs of NB 1063s. I wanted to step it up into a lighter shoe designed almost completely for road running, so I bought a pair of the 905s. I have a wide foot (2E), and am appreciative that NB has most of their shoes in different widths. The other person was talking about heel lift. However, these shoes do NOT have any heel lift. If anything, that is what I noticed the most about this shoe. My heel stays very firmly to the shoe in all positions of my stride. The forefoot area is loose, which I prefer. It allows room for the foot to swell while running, so my feet rarely hurt. It feels more like a net around your forefoot than a cage. Best of all, they are super light, and you really notice it. There isn’t all that “stuff†between your foot and the ground (gels, air, etc.), which makes you run faster, but there is still enough cushioning. It’s just a great lightweight trainer, especially for somebody who wants to move past those bulky, neutral cushion shoes, but still wants stability and cushioning.

I\'ve been rotating two pairs of Nike Zoom Structure Triax 11\'s for the past year and a half. They\'re a great shoe, but a tad heavy. The Nike\'s are very soft and supportive, which I love, but that tends to let me strike my heel when I get tired (and at 220lbs, that\'s bad on my knees!). I\'ve been trying to strike more midfoot, and thought a harder, lighter shoe might be helpful. I took these 905\'s out for an 8 miler last night, second time wearing them. WOW. The sole is definitely harder than I\'m used to, but not uncomfortable. Very supportive, and should hold up well for many miles. Where I feel these really shine is the transition. From midfoot to push off is buttery smooth...they just roll. It\'s a great feeling, and my stride feels much more efficient. The mesh upper is very breathable, has a lot of give, and the attached tongue is a nice touch. Nice to run in something so light, too. A few points to note: First, these come with \"twist\" style laces. I get it, they don\'t come untied. The problem is that they also don\'t slide through the eyelets AT ALL, which means they won\'t adjust while you run, and you might have tight/loose areas. I bought replacement laces. Second, the mesh upper is the right size for my foot, but I felt like it had just a little bit too much give, allowing the shoe to move more than I\'d like when I pushed off. I\'m going to have to experiment with tying the laces tighter to see if that will effectively counteract the issue. So far I love them, but the true test will be after running in them for a few weeks. I have a hunch that they\'ll break in nicely and continue to impress.
