This is the most comfortable yet most disappointing NB I’ve ever owned. I’ve always loved NB and the fit I get and the durability of the shoes I’ve had. My 1224’s are 7 months old hardly worn (I rotate shoes) I’m a biker not a runner so 7 months isn’t much and the shoes show little wear but the soles are coming apart. Needless to say I may not pick this shoe again.

I have used NB shoes along with Asics and Nike over my 20+ years of running. I have always enjoyed the different NB versions I have worn until now. I bought a pair of 1224\'s last month with the intention of using these for my year-round half and full marathon training. I have worn these shoes 6-7 times. Each time I wear these and run very far, I get a terrible blister on the inside of my foot. I\'m wondering if this is due to the abrasiveness of the edge of the insoles or the inside liner of the shoe? I\'ve tried several different styles of socks to correct the issue. I\'ve never had this problem with any shoes and have always loved NB shoes. I\'m disappointed I bought the top of the line shoe in this category and have had such a problem with blistering. The shoes feel great until about five miles when I start to feel the rub. I do not think this is any type of sizing issue. I have always worn \"D\" width and a 10 in size. This is the first problem I\'ve had with New Balance. If you start to feel this, return these shoes immediately instead of waiting and trying different things like I did. I guess my next step will be to purchase some replacement insoles since I\'ve already invested so much time and money in these shoes and because they feel so good until the rub becomes noticeable. I\'ve tried Body Glide, etc on the spot and the rub is so bad, nothing seems to help. Other than the blistering issue, these shoes feel great on short runs. I would recommend the shoe for 5k\'s, but that does me no good since I\'m a distance runner.
