New Balance is the proud sponsor of Girls on the Run (GOTR), a curriculum-based running program for girls 8 – 13 years of age, designed to help them learn about healthy living while preparing for a 5k run. The program is currently run in over 120 cities across the United States and Canada.
 
The GOTR objective is to reduce at-risk activities among its participants. The goal is fewer adolescent pregnancies and eating disorders, less depression and suicide attempts, less substance/alcohol abuse, and fewer confrontations with the juvenile justice system.
