RUNNING has never been afraid to take up a good cause.
Since 1989, New Balance Athletic Shoe, Inc. has partnered with the Susan G. Komen Race For the Cure®. Established in 1982 by Nancy Brinker to honor her late sister Susan G. Komen, in 1983 Komen Race for the Cure® started its first race series with 800 participants. Today, the Komen Race for the Cure® Series is the largest series of 5K runs/fitness walks in the world.
To show their LOVE for the Cure, New Balance created the Lace Up for the Cure Footwear and Apparel collection. All items proudly display the pink ribbon, the universal symbol of breast cancer awareness.
Each time you buy an item from the Lace Up for the Cure® collection, New Balance will contribute 15% of wholesale sales with a guaranteed minimum annual donation of $500,000 up to a maximum of $1 million to Susan G. Komen for the Cure. You’ll LOVE how it feels to help! We sure do.
